And as the amazing garden party tuned to evening, the entire wedding got even more beautiful…

From Fiona, the lovely bride…
On each table there was a pink wine glass with a small paper butterfly perched on the glass as the name card to again tie in with the garden party style of the day. I had bought lots of pink painted tea glasses from a recent trip to Marrakech (they were so cheap, I think I got them for about 20 pence each (about 40 cents) I think and they looked like they cost so much more!) and these were used to decorate the table. We had candelabras as the centre pieces and these were filled with roses, hydrangeas and ivory. At the entrance to the marquee we also scattered rose petals and lavender so the smell when everyone walked in was amazing!
At the end of the evening just as we left each guest was given a pack of matches with our names and the wedding date on and a huge sparkler, I wanted fireworks but the budget didn’t stretch to that so I thought that this worked just as well. It was so much fun, particularly as people got carried away and quite a few were set off in the marquee!
{and finally, some shameless bragging on SMP…I couldn’t resist}
In terms of my inspiration – honestly, it came from Style Me Pretty. I absolutely love the website and really it is so much better than anything you get in the UK (that was one of my biggest frustrations with the wedding, everything I liked was from the States!). All of the weddings on the site are so so beautiful and detailed, the colour palettes and ideas were just incredible and I wish that I could get married 10 times over so I could use all of the ideas I collected! The weddings featured really inspired me and I love the fact that no matter what the budget the weddings are beautiful.

All of the details of this wedding are so touching. I love the pink wine glasses with the butterflies!
Beautiful! How did you do the "stars" on the ceiling?
The photographs are amazing - each guest and the bride and groom appear to be characters in a romantic story. The flowers are gorgeous, so many beautiful details throughout this wedding - thank you for featuring!
What a stunning candle shot.
The stars in the ceiling were created by using a special "star light cloth". The marquee providers - Mudfords Marquees in Retford near Nottingham suggested that this cloth would provide a most lovely finishing touch and it did. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of having a marquee.
Oooh lovely to see a fellow Brit who loves Style Me Pretty as much as I do! Your wedding looks absolutely fabulous! Did you buy the signs and the table number holders from Cox and Cox? as I was looking at getting those for my own wedding next year and after seeing how pretty they look I think I'm going to get on there and buy them now! I love your colour scheme too.You were very lucky with the weather after the summer we have had!
Yes, we bought the signs and table number holders from Cox and Cox - they looked beautiful. We stood the table numbers in flower pots (purchased from Ikea) filled with dry foam and then covered this in moss. Around the outside of the pots we tied the beautiful "to have and to hold" ribbon also from Cox and Cox which made the perfect finishing touch.....
I'm in Manchester too......!
What a small world it is! it is true that SMP is far better for inspiration than anything over here! I love your idea with table numbers- I hope you don't mind if I copy a few of your gorgeous details? Can't wait to see the piccys of the evening do!
This wedding is absolutely dreamy with it's romantic details, lush flowers and English elegance.
Congratulations!!!
The Candelabras are very similar to the ones I'm going to have for my winter wedding next December, I'm so glad to see them here to get a real idea of what they will look like. I'm also a Brit hooked on SMP, living out in Spain it's virtually impossible for people to understand the passion and importance of the finer more personal details of your wedding, generally people just book the venue with whatever it is they're throwing in with the price of the meal, no place names, colour themes and creativity to be seen.... except at our wedding that is!!!
Congratulations!!!
Love the butterflies - butterfly wedding themes are stunning and inspirational
The use of wedding marquees also allows the bride and groom are in control of interior design and decorations, unlike the occupied sites where the wedding reception decoration is part of a package offered by the wedding planner and just have a couple of say. Moreover, when the wedding reception hall does not seem sufficient to adequately contain all the guests, wedding tent can be established, if some customers at their homes.
