These are absolutely beautiful!!! Could you give more info as to how you did these arrangements? How many of each type of flower it took, the cost each centerpiece ended up being, how you did the green leaves wrapped around the inside of the vases...? You did an amazing job, I would hire you for my wedding if you were in my budget :)

these are gorgeous. i don't think that i will be able to afford the flowers the way i want them either. Unfortunately, i don't think i could handle the extra stress the few days before the wedding. were you afraid that the flowers may not stay fresh enough?

Congrats on your new business! Do you mind sharing what your total cost was for the project?

As a wedding coordinator, sometimes I also make simple arrangement for my brides to save them money! To answer Kelly's question about keeping them fresh - I often take them to the reception site the day before. If it is a hotel, or has a kitchen, usually the site's staff will put them in the walk in cooler for you that they have on site!

Hello everyone,
I used hydrangeas, roses, cymbidium orchids and tulips. The centerpieces we extremely large, I used a 6"x6" square glass vase. I wanted the centerpieces to be extremely lush and volumptuous. I had gone to many florists prior to taking on the task myself. They demanded about $200 to $250 per centerpieces and It was simply not within our budget. Cymbidium orchids and hydrangeas are premium flowers so they are very pricey. I was very happy with how they turned out, I love the experience but it was very tedious but rewarding. The wedding was a destination wedding so I had to purchase the flowers wednesday morning. We drove them to our hotel on thursday, spent a big of the day cleaning and conditioning the flowers (at least on full day in bucket before arranging them) and spent the entire day friday, making all the arrangements (15 of them). I also spent the morning of the wedding making the bouquets and boutonniers. I loved it so much, I have just started my own floral business and I already have a few weddings next year!!! Yeah!!!!

She did a wonderful job on these! I know how addicting it can be once you get involved in this. I volunteered to do the flowers for my sister-in-laws wedding and it made me want to be a florist. I was pretty excited about how they turned out, considering it was my first try. You can see photos on my blog.
