This next reader designed board is coming to us from Kelly…

The inspiration board is for an October wedding that Kelly is planning…but, she was hoping we could give her some feedback as to whether the colors are cohesive, whether you would add or take anything off? She was thinking that the addition of a lighter green might be nice or possibly a touch of electric blue. What do you guys think?

I love this palette! Its so royal and elegant. I would maybe incorporate a green shade from one of the pictures, either the top left picture, or the green color of the stems of the roses. I'm sure everything will be beautiful!
Beautiful! A light blue or electric blue would obviously work, as evidenced by some photos within the board i.e. the blue behind the hanging place-cards and the light blue tinge of the chair...
I think it's elegant just as it is. In fact, I would consider more cream and a slightly iridescent gray with the rich purple. It seems cozy and elegant.
Maybe ivory and light green with that deep plum in the flower photo?
Plums, mauves and ivories will really keep this looking classic and clean! Let the stems of the flowers and some greenery and or curly willow bring an organic contrast to the richness of the chandeliers and architecture!
Kelly, this board is beautiful. What a dreamy wedding! I wouldn't touch a thing.
A deep plum will work better than light green for sure! The muted tones in the i-board are beautiful on their own, too.
thank you everyone :) i didn't know abby was going to be featuring it today! i wanted to get married in that actual church, but unfortunately i have learned it is not possible. so, on the search for another. lately i am really thinking i might leave the bright blue out! light blue might look nicer, but i also love the soft sage green in the top left photo. my mom also works at a chandelier store so i am hoping she can get mine at cost! very excited :)
I see an actual butter yellow, just dash of splash.
For a fall wedding I would add a dark secondary color for a bit of drama. Like some dark berry and wine tones. Some calla lillies and dahlias come in these colors and are very nice. I think as a secondary color to the ivory it would give a small pop of color and drama but still preserve the elegance of all the ivory and green.
I agree with the comments so far- a deep plum, mauve, or even royal purple would help keep this style elegant and refined. Chartreuse or electric blue can both work of course, but they tend to push the overall look more modern.
Personally, I like pairing green with purple more than blue with purple. I love how elegant green and purple look together. When I have seen purple and blue together, it was a spin on, and was tied in with, a nautical or beach theme.
