I absolutely adore the chic approachability of this wedding. It just seems so pretty and intimate, filled with perfect little details…

A bit more from Heather…
Wanting our guests to feel as involved as possible, we included a space to fill in a song request on the response cards, then complied the entire playlist based on requests and songs that were special to us. We used our Ipod instead of a DJ, which not only cut costs, but was perfect for a dinner party-style wedding.
Using a selection of our favorite songs played throughout the night, we made CDs for guests to grab on the way out. We enlisted the help of our talented friends Fred Brunton (fredbrunton@hotmail.com) and Kelly Gao (kbg28@mac.com) for the photography, making it very personal and, again, budget friendly.
With the help of our amazing parents, brothers and sisters, and an awesome caterer (monica@checkerscatering.com), we managed to design and execute every aspect of the wedding on our own. The attention to detail together with the great company of our guests created a result that matched our vision perfectly!
A few more gorgreous images to come!!

I want to know more about that DIY-mojito stand. That looks like a wonderful idea!
Well Kevin & I tested mojito recipes until creating one we loved, then made a few huge batches of it for the jars. We also left the ingredients, tools, garnish (including those rock candy sticks) and framed recipe on another bar for those who wanted to make them fresh. Definitely a crowd pleaser- mojitos are so refreshing and perfect for summer!
I love the cupcakes and the old timey candy sticks in the glass jars! What a great idea!
i LOVE that white BCBG dress. i got it in yellow for a shower, but never could find the white. it looks amazing on her! the polka dots are so wonderful in the photos and those yummy parfaits had to have been a great thing for the guests!
WOW...didn't know that yellow and white could be used in so many ways! Kudos to you on a wedding full of "eye-candy".
Amazing details!
I love the song request on the response cards idea. I'm so going to steal it! umm, I mean borrow ;)
this is my favorite wedding on smp so far!
I love the CD of favorite songs idea. I was thinking about that for my wedding in April. As far as making the CD yourself, weren't you worried about copyright laws?
Anita-
The program I used allowed for a certain number of copies for personal use, which I stayed within, so copyright wasn't an issue! :)
Hello!
Just wanted to say your dress is so beautiful! Is it BCBG? if so, what style is it?
Found the dress...so darling!

where did you get the yellow and white polka dot napkins? I am thinking of going with paper napkins to save money, but want somethign unique and cute.
What an inspiring wedding. I love the idea about the song requests on the response card. How did you word that?
Thanks!
We just added an extra line that said "Please include a song request!", and we were actually able to play every single one!
Napkins-
I found these at a little boutique in my town. I bought all they had but the line had been discontinued, so I couldn't find any more! I would just continue to shop around!
I love the idea of using an iPod to do the music at the reception, but how did you work in the dances (i.e. bride and groom first dance, father/daughter dance, etc.)? I really love this idea, but am struggling with figuring out how to make it known that certain things are happening! Thanks!
BEAUTIFUL!
I have always considered doing a backyard wedding at my parents home in pleasanton! This wedding is gorgeous and hte attention to detail is remarkable!!! How did you deal with parking?! Were there any noise constraints with music??! Thanks!!!
