Thank you so much to Heather and Kevin for sharing their big day with SMP! Aside from the fact that the fashion alone is enough to make a girl swoon, the attention to detail and the sweet sophistication of this family inspired affair, is just lovely.

What a gorgeous wedding. I am madly in love with her dress! I've been wanting to see it on someone besides the model to be sure and I've officially been convinced.

This is the sweetest wedding I have ever seen.

I LOVE every detail of your wedding! It has so many similarities (mason jars with candles, house numbers as table numbers, yellow and green!) as what I have planned for my wedding. I admire your ability to do so much yourself and add so many personal touches. I would love to know more about where you got some of the items you used and want to know even more about your wedding. Nice job!

  6. Sara says:

I've had this poster in mind since I first saw it, and I just love those lights.

  7. TCB says:

This is hands down my new favorite and definitely puts the idea of back yard/home wedding at the top of my list. Awesome job, vision and execution Heather!!

  8. Anna says:

This wedding is so sweet and intimate, kudos to this young couple for keeping there special day simple!

I would like to know where the string of lights & lanterns came from?

  9. Erin Houston says:

    Heather,
These pictures turned out amazing! Your wedding was the most beautiful and intimate I have ever been to. Kudos to you for being so creative and wonderfully talented to be able to pull this together! It inspires me to do it on my own someday too.

I have to say that being a guest as this wedding was awesome. Having known Kevin since the first grade, I would have never thought it would turn out like this. Both Heather and Kevin complement each other perfectly. Heather, I don't know how you did it juggling the kids and KEVIN. It was truly an amazing day, and a lot of fun! It's all about the little details that made for such a perfect wedding. Kenny and Erin, you're next! hire Heather to coordinate.

  11. I love her wedding. The little touches of personal black and white photos. Her amazing veil. Three tiers of cupcakes with different flavors and the simple white and yellow theme that runs throughout. So well coordinated. Looks beautiful, intimate and personal.

I love the pictures. Rustic but with a lot of style. Where did you get the lanterns? I'm looking for something similar for my upcoming wedding.

  13. Heather says:

    The lanterns are from www.asianideas.com

  14. Heather says:

Chandra- Feel free to email me! heatherhumphries00@yahoo.com, I'd be happy to talk to you!

  15. Heather says:

Oh, and the lights are from Target, but I think they're out of season now. I'm sure you can find them elsewhere, but those were the best deal I could find at the time.

  16. Fred says:

Heather and Kevin your day rocked and it is nice to read all of the great post... But most of all it was a blast shooting your special day... Thanks

  17. Elizabeth says:

What did the invitations look like? Was there a wedding cake too?

  18. Susanne says:

Wedding looks totally gorgeous. Can you let me know where the hanging letters are from? Looking for some just like that. Thanks

  19. Heather Mattos says:

    Hi Susanne-
Letters I found unfinished at Michael's (I think they were like $1 ?!)then painted & aged them myself.

  20. Heather Mattos says:

    Elizabeth-
Found the template for the invites at www.weddingpaperdivas.com then put my own spin on them by redesigning the colors, fonts, and layout. They were very accomodating to let me completely personalize them. As for the wedding cake- nope. Just mini-cupcakes (3 flavors), lemon cheesecake bars, and key lime pie shots.

  21. Courtney says:

I love the dress! Who is it made by?

  22. yas says:

amazing how lights can so transform into such a pretty setting.

  23. lilli says:

  24. Hi Courtney-
Dress is BCBG, from Nordstrom. Hope that helps!

  25. I've suddenly recently received lots of emails with more specific wedding questions, so I just wanted everyone to know my new email address is: heather.mattos@sbcglobal.net. Please don't hestitate! :)

  26. Alice says:

I absolutely love the effect of the paper globes strung up. How was that achieved??

  27. Zoom says:

    I am speechless. Great job!

  28. Jessica says:

This wedding is so beautiful! I was able to find the lights at Target, but they have clear glass and frosted glass. Can anyone tell if the lights in the photo are clear or frosted? Which do you think would look nicer?

  29. Emily says:

Who made this dress? I want it! It is gorgeous!
