Do-It-Yourself Inspired Wedding

Okay, this wedding is seriously great. There is just no other way to put it…from the gorgeous green, black and white color palette to the perfect little details, every element was thoughtfully crafted by the oh-so-talented bride, Brandi.

all of these insanely gorgeous photos were captured by Brittany Strebeck

Brandi’s father-in-law passed away right before they got engaged, which changed the size of their budget dramatically. But, Brandi most definitely made the best of it, while filling her wedding with Do-It-Yourself inspired touches that would make any bride swoon.

I have a lot more pictures and descriptions of DIY projects for you, so stay tuned!

  1. I love love love the style of this wedding! It’s EXACTLY what I’m going for! I have been looking everywhere for tall cylinder glass vases to put limes in (reasonably priced) do you know where they’re from???

  2. For vases- floral supply company? If you can find a wholesale place that sells to the public…

what about the green necklace? I’m looking for something chartruse, fun, chunky and inexpensive for my girls. I am totally capable of making them, time is my only issue. Anybody have any ideas of something that would work. To go with very casual jcrew strapless, embossed beach dress in chocolate…

  3. Courtney - Old Navy has some fun necklaces in all sorts of colors right now. And they’re not expensive! Check it out.

I esp thought this would be cute with your casual brown jcrew dresses.

  5. I got some of the vases from Hobby Lobby and then some from random stores on clearance. I had collected them through out the year. I also got most of the really tall ones from TJ Max, for super cheap.

  6. I scored on the green necklaces and found them at Target in the dollar bin. $1.00 can you believe that!!!

  7. Love the dress! Who is it?

  8. love the girl’s black dress - fitting is great and i adore the bow and gathering in the back - who is the designer?

  9. Brandi, thanks for sharing the details! Love the look! I’d also like to know where the black dresses are from.

I also liked reading that you collected vases throughout the year. :-)

  10. The bridesmaid dresses are Mori Lee from houseofbrides.com. My dress is a Maggie Sottero.
