As a Miami resident and an avid fan of 50s rockabilly fashion, I would actually prefer a tea length gown. It fits the environment of Miami much better than a princessy floor-length confection (not that they’re not gorgeous, but still). Besides, they seem much easier to dance in!

Man oh man how I wish I had known about Stephanie’s dresses two years ago when I got married. I searched high and low for a 50s style tea length cocktail dress but couldn’t find anything. I even trolled ebay looking for vintage dresses but girls then were so teeny tiny… everything was wayyy too small for me. In the end I had one made by a dressmaker in town, and although it turned out ok, I wasn’t thrilled with it. Stephanie nails it right on the head, her dresses are exactly what I was going for, but didn’t quite achieve.

I plan on having an outdoor wedding and would like to wear a full length lace gown (perhaps monique lhuillier). But, I think it would be really fun to change into a tea-length number for the party! why not?!

I am also in love with the tea-length dresses. And if you’re looking for a lower-cost alternative check out Dolly Couture. Her prices are very reasonable and she will do custom orders as well. I plan on getting my dress from soon!

I have loved Stephanie’s dresses since they came out. If I were getting married now I would definitely look into a tea length gown. I think it would have been more fun and fitting for our Northern California Redwoods ceremony anyway.

I’ve been trying to find an excuse to purchase one of your fabulous suits.
