Real Wedding by Jessamyn Harris
I have some more images and details from Jessamyn Harris on the beautiful wedding that we are featuring today…

From Jessamyn…
Jacqueline and Gregory hired a Chez Panisse chef to make the food, and enlisted their favorite bakery to make 3 (!) amazing cakes decorated with fresh fruit, as well as a collection of petit fours. Amazing!
The only problem was that the whole day was planned to be outside - from ceremony, mingling, portraits, dinner and onward - and it was unseasonably freezing and rainy on their wedding day, so there was a bit of extra stress and worry as they tried to manage all of the details as well as make adjustments for moving the dinner inside the small house. They were amazingly calm and collected as they decided to have the ceremony outside (where there were just a few small sprinkles) so that they could enjoy the dramatic view, and the dinner inside, with long family-style tables, a crackling fire, and the kitchen just feet away.
This gave the whole reception (though a little cramped) a really wonderful entertaining-at-home feeling!

Oh so in love with those cakes…
Comment by Larry Green on 21 July 2008:
Boy, the cakes look scrumptious, and I’ve just got to comment on all that greenery as a backdrop in the photo of the happy couple.

I love the fruit-decorated cakes! One of my favorite decor pieces (also budget friendly!) is to use cranberries as an accent. You can use them in hurricane vases instead of stones or crystals. Another idea is to put a small wall around your cake table and fill it with cranberries - adds an enormous amount of color and spices it up. Especially great for autumn events!

hi, guys!
the bride and groom are currently moving across the country (!), so unfortunately it may take awhile for me to get some answers, but I’m happy to either post them back here or email you directly if you contact me off-site.
I do know that the shoes are fabulous Campers, which I adored (and which she bought partly with my photographs in mind! - remembering the blue shoes from my last SMP featured wedding). The centerpieces I believe were provided by the wonderful Zuzu’s Petals, who brought beautiful and random natural elements to just casually disperse as centerpieces.
Sorry I don’t know about the cake stands - but the cakes themselves were provided by Sketch Ice Cream in Berkeley (though they’re not ice cream cakes), and the couple had nothing but the most positive things to say about them.
