Wedding Jewelry by Yanina

From Bombus's brilliant Etsy site, I discovered these incredible designs by Yanina Artisan Jewelry...

I'm sure you've noticed by now... I love simple, gold jewelry. It's forever classic and elegant and these fit the bill perfectly. They are sophisticated and inspired and yet the prices are insanely reasonable. The freshwater pearl necklace on the top right is only $34! So, they just might fit into your bridesmaid...

When I find a really great Etsy designer, like Angela at Cotton Bird Designs, I love to check out their favorite sellers. I found this next Etsy artist by perusing Angela's list of favorite items. I loooooove these decoupage pieces by Bombus...

Angela Cotton, owner and designer behind the incredibly great Etsy shop Cotton Bird Designs, emailed me to let me know about her adorable bird cake toppers...

Real Wedding by Kim Gray

Moving on to Kim's reception! I want to get right to the pictures, as they are just so beautiful, so rich in color...

I love the easy, relaxed vibe of this reception. Using the floor cushions as extra seating is both practical and oh-so-chic. The style reminds me of a really great, intimate dinner with friends, which is just what a wedding should be.

More Details from Kim...

I had the best time styling a Moroccan styled banquet. Being a stylist, it's...

I am so excited to show you today's real wedding...not only because it's simply a gorgeous affair, but also because I get to introduce you to the bride, Kim Gray...a stylist who has provided hours of inspiration for me since she first introduced herself a few weeks ago! Before we get into all of the details though, here are some of the lovely ceremony photos from Kim's recent wedding...

Wedding Cake Alternatives

As much as I adore wedding cakes, brides seem to be coming up with some pretty gorgeous alternatives. I kind of love the idea of a candy buffet, either in addition to or in lieu of a wedding cake. Here are some really gorgeous candy and dessert buffets that just might make you re-think the cake decision...

Wedding Cakes by Lovin Sullivan

Until this morning, it had been a while since I checked out the LovinSullivan site...and wow, I was completely blown away! Their cakes have always been fantastic, but they've added some new designs that are almost too pretty to eat...

These cakes are so gorgeous and yet they really don't take themselves too seriously. They are full of personality and whimsy, perfect for a more untraditional affair, and yet they are so beautiful, they...

Wedding Cakes by Elegant Cheesecakes

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I have been drooling over these cake pictures by Elegant Cheesecakes in Half Moon Bay, California for the past three days and am so excited to finally share them with you (even if you hate me for making you want a piece of cake, rather than a bowl of oatmeal)...

How gorgeous are these cakes?? The second photo down with the lemons is my favorite...so chic, so elegant. Love, love, love it!

Color Palette Contest!

I just wanted to remind everyone over the weekend that we are having a Color Palette Contest here on Style Me Pretty! The challenge is to find one picture that completely inspires you...whether it's a pretty picture from your favorite magazine, a snapshot that you took on a family vacation or just an image that you stumbled upon that you love. Anything goes. Then, create a color board inspired by that image!

Real NYC Wedding

One of our loyal SMP readers, Annette, recently emailed me images from her gorgeous New York City wedding...and I was floored. Annette designed a wedding that could easily be featured in a magazine, all while sticking to an under $20,000 budget...a feat nearly impossible for a New York City affair!

Color Palette – Pinks & Reds

I love this color palette...a pretty, but chaotic blend of pinks, reds and oranges. To me, this look is perfect for a Spring or Summer outdoor affair, where you can bring in prints and textures that don't fight with the natural decor of the space...

Inspiration

When people ask me what I write about...I simply say "Inspiration." Whether it's a wedding that is completely over-the-top or a sweet backyard affair, I try to only feature work that I find truly inspiring. I try to feature work that brides and grooms can pull from to create their own, personal wedding style. And, as cliche as it might sound...I truly do find inspiration all around me.

From pretty magazines and real weddings to the fresh picked peonies that my mother-in-law brought...

Real Wedding by Duet Weddings, III

And now for the finishing touches on today's featured weddings....the details. As cliche as it sounds, and as many times as I have said it on SMP, it's the details that transform a pretty wedding into a spectacular wedding.

Here are some notes from Rebecca, the planner behind this gorgeous day...

Welcome - As guests entered the grass from the dusty gravel road, they were greeted with lavender garnished lemonade in mason...
