Inspiration

When people ask me what I write about…I simply say “Inspiration.” Whether it’s a wedding that is completely over-the-top or a sweet backyard affair, I try to only feature work that I find truly inspiring. I try to feature work that brides and grooms can pull from to create their own, personal wedding style. And, as cliche as it might sound…I truly do find inspiration all around me.

From pretty magazines and real weddings to the fresh picked peonies that my mother-in-law brought me, I find that I am constantly thinking of ideas and inspirations for Style Me Pretty. My latest addiction is Michele Michael…a prop stylist out of New York, whose work is so vibrant, so fresh and yet so real…

So for today, I thought it would be fun to take some of my favorite Michele Michael images and transform them into color palettes. Using the four pictures above, I am working on creating color boards that reflect real life wedding details…stay tuned! Oh, and later today we have a fun contest for all of you creative brides out there!

how funny - i have always filed smp under "inspiration" on my google reader and i save particularly perfect images in a folder by the same name on my desktop. i do this not only because i'm often inspired by what you post but also because i've started to do my wedding research before the bf of 8 years has actually popped the question; so i'm trying to keep a low profile! :)

thanks again for all of the beauty you pass along. especially for those of us who are aesthetically challenged, the images and ideas you offer are very, VERY helpful.
