When the girls at Allison Events in San Francisco sent me this wedding, I swooned. The colors are so rich, the style is this perfect rustic elegance…everything just seems so beautiful.
Planning done by Alison Events, Event Design by Nicole Sillapere, Photography by Mel Barlow, Venue is Calistoga Ranch
From Kelsey at Alison Events…
Originally the couple decided to get married on the dam overlooking the small lake on property. It ended up raining that morning and we had to move to our plan B. We moved the ceremony indoors to part of the restaurant, and the reception was held in the wine cave. It ended up being wonderfully cozy and inviting.
Both Ali and Elliot wanted to have a fun colorful event and gave us complete design freedom do do something unique. They wanted it to be playful and fun but also bold. Ali, being an industrial designer, wanted something aesthetically different and unique. They were more contemporary in style which is why they were drawn to Calistoga Ranch and it’s modern California architecture.
I just love the rich orange dahlias--gorgeous.

I love the ultra modern matching rings.
I have a great time reading your blog and viewing other photographers' work for inspiration as well.
How do we submit some of our photography/inspiration boards to your site? We've got a pile of great southern, spring weddings just waiting to inspire!
This wedding shows that you can dare to be different and still host a sophisticated wedding. I enjoy the fact that the design is gender neutral and filled with rich, bold colors. Congratulations to everyone who worked on this creation.
