Our next board has been designed by Erin, who is getting married this upcoming August at a traditional Irish Restaurant. More from Melinda! As I mentioned before, it was so important to me to feel that everyone was involved and a huge part of the day. A long time family friend of the Moore family, who married Danielle and Lee on their wedding day, also married us. We included a reading in our ceremony that was read by Cass’s sister, Danielle. I carried my grandmothers rosary and a handkerchief that Danielle had embroidered with my wedding day, and the word “Sisters” above the date.[MORE]
A bit more from Melinda... Once I had my dress and the colors picked out, the rest was easy! I used a color palette of black and linen for the rest of the décor. The final inspiration for the rest of the wedding came from a piece of fabric called Waverly Damask (see picture). As I was on a budget, and I did not want to interfere with the natural environment of the location too much, I decided to buy a bolt of the fabric off eBay and have them made into tablecloths... IF you are just checking in, we are talking to Danielle...an SMP reader who sent us the gorgeous details from her own real wedding! From Danielle... I knew the most important things to me when looking at my budget were location, pictures and food. I spent the majority of my money there and then really budgeted the rest. I knew I could have the wedding of my dreams if I just really put my mind to it and chose the right elements. I also wanted a wedding that was not the... [MORE]

Since this morning's wedding was so bright and cheerful, which we all need a little dose of now and then, I wanted to keep the lighthearted inspiration going. This wedding, with florals designed by Tapestry Flowers, is just so pretty. Spring is in the air! Okay, it's still in the thirties here in Boston, but I am trying to stay positive. So, what better way to celebrate spring, than to feature a yellow and white inspired wedding! Such a fresh and pretty palette, you can't help but smile. Karen Axel, at Tapestry Flowers, is one of my favorite florists. Her work is so fresh...playful when it should be, while still being oh-so-elegant and chic. You can see that TLC went... [MORE]
