I hope everyone had a great weekend!
I have been really excited to tell you guys about the brilliant new registry feature at Bodanna Studio and Gallery…a non-profit organization that provides at-risk young adults with a place to thrive creatively and gain workplace skills through a handcrafted ceramics business. The talented artists at Bodanna put together this beautiful inspiration board for us, all inspired by their gorgeous ceramic pieces…
Ceramics by Bodanna, Necklace by Carrie D. Mader Jewelry, Wedding Dress by Nicole Miller, Ceramics by Bodanna, Flower by Rebecca Thuss, Bridesmaid Dress by RC Bridal, Stationery featured on Rebecca Thuss, Cake featured on Rebecca Thuss
All of the products in the new Bodanna Registry are hand-made locally in New York City by artisans, including graduates of their programs, and 100% of proceeds from each sale go towards developing and sustaining their program for at-risk young adults.
The best part? The ceramics are ABSOLUTELY beautiful…
Spend some time today looking over the Bodanna Studio and Gallery…it’s a wonderful way to give back while choosing unique, creative registry items that you will use for years to come.

YES! I love these ceramics. I just found them last week, and am so excited to add them to my registry (my fiance and I are both teachers, and he teaches in NY public schools, so it's even more lovely that we'll have these dishes for the rest of our lives.) Great post, as always!
I love all the ways and places you post about beautiful things for the wedding that also give back like this and White Aisle. Its inspiring.
Wow, what great ceramics! loving them! thanks for the inspiration!
I love Bodanna! The only slightly irritating thing is that some of their more beautiful (and affordable) gift items- like the dipping set, jewelry, and mugs- you can't put on your registry! I hope they fix this feature soon because this is an awesome site and an even better cause.
I too love all the items you are sharing with us. I would also like to suggest that brides add a Bridal Mini garment to their wish list. It basically looks like the top half of a wedding gown, and is a bachelorette party top that is also worn when testing hair, makeup and jewelry. It really helps a bride prepare and have fun. You can see it at www.bridalmini.com
Really awesome post here. Thank you for sharing it, I look forward to reading more from you in the future!
I use to work at Bodanna, I miss that place. They closed for good in 2008.. I was 1 of the artist that made the pieces there.. I continue to make functional ceramic art at another studio in manhattan.
well, thats the update about Bodanna and I since then.. Thought to give an update of the place.
I want to express my respect for your kind-heartedness in support of women who really want help with in this idea. Your personal dedication to getting the message all through had been astonishingly invaluable and have really enabled employees much like me to reach their goals. Your new valuable tutorial can mean a lot a person like me and even more to my peers. Regards; from all of us.
It is amazing how similar our point of view is to each other. I couldn't like this more, thanks!
