A Winter Wedding, III

I am just so impressed with Rachel and her thoughtful approach to her wedding. Here are a few more images and some wonderful details from Rachel’s Winter wedding…

from Rachel…

We had a total of 9 kids in the wedding. We love kids and especially the ones in our family! :-) My nephew Ethan is the only little boy in the tuxedo that matches the groomsmen and our niece, who was under 3 months old, is the one riding down in the sleigh. I really wanted her to be a part of the day and the only way we could think of getting her down the aisle was to ride in a custom-made sleigh or have my sister carry her along with her bouquet. Lol. We went with the sleigh.

Snow-girls tossed snow down the aisle instead of rose-pedals and the little boys were called “light-bearers” instead of ring-bearers. They each carried lanterns down the aisle. We love candlelight so the ceremony was surrounded by beautiful candles.

One of my favorite parts about the whole reception was our HOT COCOA BAR with all the goodies you can think of…marshmallows, kisses, candycanes, andes mints, sprinkles, whipped cream, caramel, etc…!! I had always dreamed of having a coffee/cocoa bar and it worked out perfect! The guests ranted and raved about it. Unfortunately no one got pictures and I didn’t even make it over to see it that evening! But from what I heard, it was a hit. And because it was so cold that day, people that normally don’t drink cocoa said they had several glasses!

More to come!!

  1. Rachel,
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your bracelet! I have been looking for soemthing EXACTLY like that and have been unsuccessful. I noticed you had it custom designed. Where did you have it done? Thanks :) Your wedding looked BEAUTIFUL by the way!

  2. That’s awesome and beautiful. Hmmm…hot chocolate! I love cold weather events. Plus I heard that cold weather burns calories :0) Who put on Rachel’s wedding?
I’d like to know. I have a friend that’s looking for a unusual theme for her wedding in October. I know, October!!
Anyway another friend of mine went to a winter wedding on a boat of all things somewhere in Sausalito (that’s California). It was a wedding yacht cruise in the evening…or at sunset, or something like that. Anyway the pictures looked beautiful. Empress Events put on the shindig. Ironically another friend mentioned she went to a bachelorette party on a yacht cruise in Sausalito as well and had a great time and I think it was the same people who put it on.
