We made a donation in lieu of favors. That is what you see in that picture. We gave a brief explanation of the charity we chose and why. We used Clipiola® round paper clips for those and for the escort cards. We just bent the ends and stuck them into the apple. We bought a lot of apples for that day. However, my mom took most of them back with her and when we came back from our honeymoon she made apple pies with them all...nothing went to waste :) The menu cards were tucked into the napkins on the tables. I can't remember the exact size I used but I used their folded cards in brown. Then I used round thicker ivory labels that I printed the table numbers on. I then wrapped thin chartreuse satin ribbon around the folded cards and underneath the label. I then used zots (which I used a lot of during all my DIY projects) to adhere the ribbon to the underside of the folded cards. I did make them myself and I bought all the supplies from Paper Source. The brooches were my husband’s grandmother's who had passed away the winter before the wedding. They were my something old. I wore one in my hair and one on my bouquet. The necklace was my grandmother's who passed away when I was a teenager and I wore that as a bracelet. That was my some borrowed from my mother. It felt really special to be able to incorporate both of them into our wedding. Thanks…I was really lucky to be able to wear all of it!
