A Real Wedding, III

I wanted to share with you guys a few more images from Robyn’s gorgeous barn inspired wedding. These are the perfect details that Robyn infused into the evening…

I love how simple, and yet completely chic and appropriate each detail is…Robyn did a lot on her own for this wedding and I have to say, she nailed it. The use of apples is absolutely perfect, the lanterns and the twinkle lights add that romantic glow. The florals are beautiful in their simplicity. Every detail of this wedding was well thought out and the end result is just gorgeous.

Thank you so much to Robyn and Keith for sharing your big day with us. And, thank you so much to the incredibly talented photographers at Daria Bishop for sharing these stunning images with us!

    Absolutely beautiful wedding!

I do have one question. The shoes featured are exactly what I am looking for. Robyn, if you are reading this, can you please let me know where you bought them from or who the designer is please?
My email is jessie.keh AT gmail DOT com.

Thank you so much. I would really appreciate it!

They are JCrew but I got them about a year ago so I am not sure if they still have them :(

Thanks Abby for posting our wedding and all your kind words!

Where did you get the bridesmaid dresses? They are gorgeous, wearable and look like they flatter many body types!

  6. nicole says:

robyn, are those aria bridesmaids dresses? they are lovely, as is the color. so nice to see something other than black or brown strapless! did you have a specific palette you were working with?

  7. Robyn says:

They are JCrew bridesmaid dresses and I had my eye on them not too long after I got engaged back in November of 07. Soon after that they went on sale for a too good to be true price so we bought them in just about every size and returned the ones that didn't fit. I originally was going for a different color purple but when I saw this color I just fell in love with it. It was different than anything I had ever seen. In different lights it looked merlot, brown, and almost a deep purple/black. Then my florist showed me flower options that could tie it all together and I was sold :)

My palette was a chartreuse/apple green, deep purples, browns, and ivories.

Aria does have a similar color with their aubergine...i just got my swatches from them yesterday.

  9. nicole says:

yes, i actually think i'm going with the aubergine aria dresses (and sand for the MOH). i'm so sad that j.crew doesn't have that color anymore, though! it looks so lovely in the photos- and that is such a nice style.

  10. Jessie says:

Thanks Robyn! JCrew does have similar ones this year but the heel is too high for me (3 1/2 inches!)

  11. Robyn says:

Yeah that is how high my were...they were a little high...but that is the price you pay for cute shoes I guess:)I was also barefoot a couple of time during the wedding I am not going to lie :)

  12. I really like the antique brooch & jewelry in photo #1...and those shoes!!

  13. Robyn says:

Thanks...I was really lucky to be able to wear all of it! The brooches were my husband’s grandmother's who had passed away the winter before the wedding. They were my something old. I wore one in my hair and one on my bouquet. The necklace was my grandmother's who passed away when I was a teenager and I wore that as a bracelet. That was my some borrowed from my mother. It felt really special to be able to incorporate both of them into our wedding.

    Robyn,

What a beautiful wedding! I am wondering if you did your table numbers yourself and if so would you mind sharing what supplies you bought/used? Thanks!

  15. Robyn says:

I did make them myself and I bought all the supplies from Paper Source. I can't remember the exact size I used but I used their folded cards in brown. Then I used round thicker ivory labels that I printed the table numbers on. I then wrapped thin chartreuse satin ribbon around the folded cards and underneath the label. I then used zots (which I used a lot of during all my DIY projects) to adhere the ribbon to the underside of the folded cards.

this is a beautiful wedding!! love all the deep warm colors you used for the design concept.

what did you use to hold the menu card and placecards in the apples?

    thanks in advance!

  17. idle me says:

great details. i am also thinking of the details that i could incorporate in my upcoming wedding.

  18. Robyn says:

The menu cards were tucked into the napkins on the tables. We made a donation in lieu of favors. That is what you see in that picture. We gave a brief explanation of the charity we chose and why. We used Clipiola® round paper clips for those and for the escort cards. We just bent the ends and stuck them into the apple. We bought a lot of apples for that day. However, my mom took most of them back with her and when we came back from our honeymoon she made apple pies with them all...nothing went to waste :)
