Wedding Color Palette

Our last color palette dilemma for today comes from Kristen…

“I think what I really want is a mix that I haven’t found in pictures yet. I think I’d like to do dark blue or dark bluish green for the maids but have the flowers be peachy/rosy. Our reception will be in a tent around sunset and I love the idea of tons of candles and warm light. Do you think this combo would work? I guess it would be similar to the palette yesterday of pinks and blue but for some reason that doesn’t hit home for me.”

We’ve done a few palettes with Navy, but I haven’t yet paired it with peach, which is SUCH a lovely contrast to the richness of the blue…

I absolutely loooooove this palette for a late Summer or early Fall wedding by the beach. I’ve always loved navy…it’s so elegant and rich. The color alone seems expensive. By pairing it with peaches and golds, the palette seems more lighthearted and feminine without much effort. And to be honest, the best wedding styles are those that don’t try too hard to be anything. They are simply beautiful.

Thank you! I've been searching everywhere for inspiration. I'm getting married on the coast of Maine (on the water but not beach) in late summer. Predominant colors are navy and bright hydrangea blue with coral/papaya as a small accent. It's been tough to find!

    Thanks. I'm throwing a 30th
birthday this summer and am thinking of using a navy/aqua color scheme. I'm going to accent with apple green and white, but this is lovely.

I think this palette is really great. It makes sense, because orange is the complement color to blue. I think having a little of the richer orange peaking out in the peach flowers helps give it depth. It's a pretty palette without being too girly. Orange as an accent color for the guys is really fun and fashionable, too. Teal blue-greens would also look beautiful with the peaches and oranges. For inspiration with this color palette, try googling Russian lacquer boxes. They use this color combination a lot, and it's really rich and playful.

    Hi,
My wedding is Oct.4th. I have chosen apple(deep red) as the main color. The guys are wearing black tux w/ apple vest and tie. What colors can I add to accent...and how?
