Hello,
I love this blog!! I check every couple of days in anticaption of the next post. I've gotten lots of ideas for my wedding date of April 12, 2008. I'm starting to wind down all the planning and moving on to finalizing everything.
I saw on your posts a few months back a guide for a timeline on the reception. Will you please repost it or guide me to where it's archived at on the blog.
Thanks!!!
Elena

These are truly beautiful! They make such a splash of color. I make favors myself by hand for brides and these have given me some great ideas! I was married just over a year ago, so I know how stressful this can get. If I can help anyone out in regards to favors and such, e-mail me. Here's my site in case it helps: www.yourmomentscreated.com - you'll find my e-mail on there, too! Hope it helps!

I stumbled upon this website www.wholeblossoms.com where I got my wedding flowers customized. They have a wide variety of flowers that come directly from the farms in South America and California. I emailed them to obtain additional information about their Wedding in a Box section and ended up buying my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres and centerpieces from them. I went to several wholesale flower sites where they have Wedding in a Box packages with regular bulk flowers but the Wedding in a Box section of Whole Blossoms offers the possibility of having your flowers customized just the way you want them. I not only got the best prices among all the wholesale flower sites I visited but also loved the quality of my flowers. My wedding guests commented on the flowers and I personally had a very positive experience considering that I was hesitant to buy flowers for my wedding online since this was a very important day in my life.

This is one of my FAVORITE blogs!
Every time I visit there are such fantastic photos and articles that are SO inspiring!
Thanks for sharing your creativity!
I am so excited about this new website I found for pearl jewelry! It's Premium Pearl and it is seriously your ultimate shop for any and all pearl jewelry. Great for wedding accessories but also the earrings make for great bridesmaid gifts!
We used a unique service for digital camera rental from a company called Picture It Yourself. We went to thier website, http://www.PictureItYourself.com and gave them our wedding date. They shipped us the digital cameras we put them around our wedding and then we shipped them back. They uploaded the pictures and we were good to go. Give them a shout.
I like your blog very much, but I just know my wife will absolutely love it when I show it to her! My wife is always going on about this wedding or that wedding and what they did that was different and unique pointing out how much planning and thought had to go into a particular arrangement. She owns a small part of a laser photo etching business and would think it tacky to plug her wedding related products here, but I think it would really be appropriate since I know firsthand people would appreciate the detail and quality of these photo etchings.
http://etchingpros.com specializes in turning cherished memories and photos into stunningly beautiful works of art. Having words of congratulations for a wedding engraved along with a color or B/W photo of your choice on polished marble or granite is a wonderful and unique gift that will last a lifetime. This type of gift will remind the bride and groom of your thoughtfulness for years to come. Anyway thank you for putting together a really great blog, I will be sure and show it to my wife.

A 19th-century Anglican Church, brought to the island stone by stone from England at the end of the last century, has been lovingly restored and can be found in the center of the resort. The church now features beautiful murals and stained-glass windows by renowned Italian artist Costanzo Rovati. Raffles' guests can hold their wedding ceremonies in the church, subject to the usual legal requirements. A special Wedding Coordinator will be on hand to assist at all times.

The Green Bride’s Guide to a Conscious Union
By Nicole Sherwin
With environmental issues at the forefront of our consciousness these days, everyone from oil companies to politicians; car companies to homemakers are joining the party. Even soon-to-be brides and grooms are helping spread the message through their loving celebrations. Today many are choosing to leave a green footprint as they walk down the isle by saying; “I do” to eco-friendly weddings.
With a little planning and lots of creativity, green weddings can be sophisticated romantic and elegant, leaving a lasting impression with guests long after the recycled festivities have ended and the energy efficient light bulbs have been extinguished
Every aspect of a wedding can put a strain on the environment - from chemically grown flowers to carbon emitting delivery trucks. Even the invitations kill trees. In fact, according to Sierra Magazine’s lifestyle editor Jennifer Hattam “The typical U.S wedding generates up to 16 tons of carbon dioxide emissions”. That’s about as much as the average American generates in a whole year.
A honeymoon getaway can also put a huge strain on the environment with the average newlywed suite contributing about 30 pounds of greenhouse gasses to the atmosphere each day.
Green Your Wedding
While all this may seem overwhelming, “greening” a wedding is a lot simpler than you think. Here are 14 ideas that can turn your white wedding …green:
1. RINGS When choosing your ring think about conflict-free diamonds and recycled metals or visit greenkarat.com
2. YOUR DRESS When buying your dress, consider natural fibers at fair-trade factories, rent your gown or purchase it from a shop that donates a percentage to charity. Visit: pristineplanet.com or rawganique.com
3. REGISTRY Register for organic cottons and energy efficient appliances or create a ‘charitable giving registry’ where a portion of sales is donated to your charity of choice. Visit: registerlocally.com or 3rliving.com
4. INVITATIONS Work with refined recycled or tree-free invitations and printed with vegetable inks or elegantly designed e-invitations Visit: green-wedding.com or greenprinter.com
5. VENUE Stage your celebration in a neutral and natural setting like a park, beach or garden versus a grand reception hall.
6. DÉCOR Find companies that have biodegradable or recycled event décor . Talk to your wedding planner about cost-effective ideas.
7. TRANSPORTATION Arrive in style and luxury with ingeniously manufactured hybrid limousine and car services. Visit: hybridcars.com
8. GIFTS/FAVORS Create elegant gifts for your guests with organic and eco-conscious products. Visit: favorideas.com
9. FOOD Hire top chefs to prepare delicious, organic food down to the last eco detail using banana sticks to replace wasteful wooden skewers. Again, speak to your wedding planner who can recommend the best green caterer in your area.
10. WASTE All surplus food should either be composted or, donated to charitable organizations
11. RENTALS Reduce the carbon footprint with rental and catering trucks that run on vegetable oil or bio-fuel. Your wedding planner will help you find the most environmentally conscious rental company.
12. PHOTOGRAPHY Capture the essence of every moment by working with leading eco conscious wedding photographers. Have your photographer print your images on recycled paper or create an online wedding album
13. HONEYMOON Pay for carbon offsets or allow- The Leading Hotels of the World to make a donation for you. If you book your reservation through their website lhwgreen.com, they help to make your stay carbon neutral by purchasing offsets for their guests. You can also visit greenhotels.com for a list of conscientious resorts and hotels around the world.
14. WEDDING PLANNER If you are not planning your own wedding, find a creative wedding planner who is able to bring your dreams to life through their knowledge and sensitivity for the environment.
Every wedding is an expression of love. Why not express your love with Mother Nature. Or in the words of Kahlil Gibran “Marriage is… the union of two souls in a strong love for the abolishment of separateness….. It is the golden ring in a chain whose beginning is a glance, and whose ending is Eternity. It is the pure rain that falls from an unblemished sky to fructify and bless the fields of divine Nature”.
Cheers, Mazel-Tov and Congratulations to marrying GREEN!

Are there any blogs about finnding unique wedding gifts? I'm so excited to start searching for a wedding gift for my friend. She is getting married in a few months and I feel that since I am a bridesmaid and a longtime friend, I need to find the perfect gift that will stand out just a little from the rest. I've come across a few good ideas but I'm going to keep searching to see if something better comes along. Right now, I am trying to help her out with some things since the happy couple is so busy. I did some research and came across some great http://bradleyyoungentertainment.com/ " rel="nofollow"> Chicago Wedding Bands that could play at their reception. I hope this will help relieve some stress for them since now they can listen to some bands I found, and enjoy the music while picking the perfect band.
