I’m saving a folder on my desktop, full of the wonderful pictures and suggestions that I’ve collected here. You just don’t find these on “mainstream” bridal sites.

The inspiration boards are what hooked me first. Doing one of those finally helped me communicate to my family and vendors what we were going for- and really crystallized it for me, to! I didn’t know brown was one of our wedding colors! Now I do inspiration boards for everything! And I use the pallets I find here to inspire me. They organize my thoughts so well and show me if I’m going where I want to be. Plus, I just love getting a peek at what other people are planning- a lot of my inspiration board came right off of boards I found here.
This site has even gotten to be a hit with my little sister and all her friends. It’s a shame that it seems to make some of their boyfriends nervous!

style me pretty… oh how can i begin, i was told about this site by a very dear friend and soon to be bridesmaid of mine and quickly set it as a favorite. it is a must read for all modern brides to be! the few weeks following the engagement were like a dream, but once decisions regarding the details of the wedding and the planning began, I quickly saw that there were many websites that focused on commercializing the most important day for any couple.. and was a bit overwhelmed, which surprised me, as 27 dresses is my life - and expected that surely when it was time to plan my own wedding it would be easy… it was tough to know where to begin. I trust the opinion given on smp, amazing stories and details from real weddings, inspiration, fashion, color combinations, unique design and definite style. I feel that the website truly focuses on the couple and the uniqueness in making a wedding your own, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us… I too have been so excited to tell other friends about this site who have since gotten engaged… p.s. i hope there wasn’t a word limit to our responses : )

As a newly engaged bride-to-be, after ‘discovering’ wedding blogs (I had no idea there were out there!) I’ve fallen in love with SMP because it has daily inspiration that just lifts my spirits. Wedding planning can be a daunting task, as I’ve noticed, but visiting your blog reminds me what a wedding is all about-a celebration of LOVE- and it helps me keep all the ideas flowing while I figure out how to create the a beautiful, classy, and fun wedding day for my fiance, family, friends and I. Being a graphic designer I also appreciate the superb organization of the site, the soft colors, the clean lines, and the graphics & fonts that are used. Bad design can keep one away from a site, and this blog hits the nail on the head, with drawing the reader in. It’s not cluttered with information. It has just enough info and is easy to navigate. I fell in love with SMP during the DIY contest! I was so inspired that I feel I have to log on daily from now on!

I love this site I come everyday and honestly one of the reason I come is to confirm my own pallet! I’m getting married this July and just by looking at all the beautiful pallets makes me confirm that my own pallet will be as beautiful. I like all the ideas and I’m going to incorporate a lot of the ideas I’ve seen here. We’re a little pinched on the cash so seeing these ideas helps me think of alternative ways I just hope it turns out as pretty. I can’t wait!

I’ve been engaged for almost a year and a half…I’ve got another 8 months to go. Throughout the planning process I’ve had my share of ups and downs (like any bride-to-be!).

I’m getting married in February, but just celebrated a year of engagement last week. My mom found this site a few days after I got engaged last year and it’s been fabulous! I stop by daily to see inspiration boards, tips and tricks to make my day special. I was sitting at my computer (at work) in November and randomly and aimlessly searching wedding websites. I had been engaged for almost 5 months and still had no idea what I wanted my wedding to be. My mom was loosing patience with me because I couldn’t give her any ideas of what I wanted or even liked.
I don’t remember how I found Style Me Pretty but I’m so thankful I did! I was immediately addicted to the site. I looked at every single post since the start date. I printed tons of the style boards with any little detail that I liked. That night I went straight to my mom’s house and went over every last picture with her. Our minds fed off of all the amazing pictures and ideas.
I suddenly had a starting point – on almost every detail! I have subscribed to Style Me Pretty RSS feed and have it front and center on my google home page. I read every day. My wedding is in August and I can’t wait to send some of my own pictures to show how much I have been inspired!
p.s. if you are ever bored – HA! – I would love some input from you on my own wedding!!

I came across your website when I started planning my wedding a few months ago. Initially, it was the color palettes that kept me coming back. I was impressed with how diligent and creative the posts/entries were with ideas and inspiration. I came back many times during the day (at home and at work - SHH!) to check up on new entries and ideas. I stumbled upon SMP a couple of months before my wedding in September. I had dozens of pictures saved on my computer but still felt like I could not communicate what I wanted to my vendors. That was, until I saw the inspiration boards. After a couple of tries, I made the perfect inspiration board and my vendors said that it definitely helped them achieve our beautiful wedding. I still visit SMP everyday not because I have trouble separating myself from the wedding planning process, but because I now have a better appreciation for design - especially in the area of fabric and stationary. My favorite posts have been the boards inspired by your new line of stationary - those were perfect in showing how a wedding can be a seamless design from start to finish. Congratulations on achieving a million hits - that’s a big milestone for a blogger!

Congratulations on such a wonderful accomplishment! The reason I visit Style Me Pretty on a daily basis is because you provide all of us with such classy but affordable and realistic ideas. The inspiration boards are fantastic, and they allow all of us out there who are planning our wedding to get our creative juices flowing and incorporate some of those ideas into our own events. And more importantly, it helps us to know that those of us who don’t have endless amounts of money to spend, like myself, can still incorporate stunning ideas into our wedding and make it an event that is truly special. Hmm… What makes SMP one of my daily reads?
Well, I suppose on a much larger scale it boils down to a mix of tasteful necessity and the dawn of the “Age of Information”.
It really is quite amazing to live in time where we can openly express & share our ideas (blog) just for the sake of excitement, enjoyment, passion, etc..
Blogs have allowed us to connect together, much like a circle of friends to share our lives, stories, ideas & common interests.
Specifically I come here because of the (obvious) source of inspiration, but mostly because I’m getting married (finally after 8 years!), and really enjoy the outlet to connect with people who genuinely care about what I have to say. The inspiration boards have me convinced that I can settle for no less than a SCANT 15 different weddings, because I want all of them!
Cheers to this site & everyone else who takes the time to help others along their journey.
Word of Mouth is the best resource.

Dear Abby, when my fiance proposed in August I was completly thrown as I had (shock - horror) never in my life thought about my dream wedding dress, or where I would like to get married (castle / garden / beach / vineyard / home or abroad etc) and had no idea (i) one needed a colour scheme or (ii) what type of colour scheme I would go for on the big day.
In a panic I bought every wedding magazine I could find (not many in Ireland believe me!!) and was so disheartened to find that they were so very bland and stuffy and formal and REALLY not me at all… when I discovered your site I felt butterflies of excitement - complete sensory overload - your absolutely beautiful and rich storyboards were so inspiring and frankly a huge relief - as I felt I had found an inspirational home - one that recognised individuality and creativity and now I’m hooked. I’m only slightly worried my fiance will revoke the question as I check your site nearly three times a day just in case you’ve posted something new - it’s my new addiction. I know given your site is the most recommended site amongst my favourite blogs that I’m in good company and you encourage amazing creativity amongst brides-to-be which is so refreshing. I was looking for a very different non-cookie cut wedding so I scanned the internet looking for ideas and one day I fell into SMP, I was HOOKED. The first board I saw, I almost had tears in my eyes because finally someone “visually” set the standard for what I had in my head my entire wedding planning process. I e-mailed Abby right away to ask her for some more creative ideas and she replied with kindness, innovative details and I was so impressed, I visit the sit everyday just to see what she will come up today. I think even after my May 2008 wedding, I’ll pop in just to make sure she gets another 1,000,000 hits! BTW, my entire wedding consists of ideas from your blog.

Other than being married for almost 8 months and needing my daily fix of wedding related things or else I might meltdown, I come here to remain CURRENT. I love that SMP is always current and does not harp on old cheesy wedding ideals and notions. Now that I AM married, unless I am helping an engaged friend, I don’t really have much need for this information. Or so you would think. The inspiration boards and other posts on SMP can translate into every day life, home decor and general party decor or ideas. It is helpful to me. To get my fix, I could easily pick up a bridal mag on one of my 2 daily trips to Walgreens (it is a small problem how many times I go there and how much money I spend), but I would rather be here sans the advertisements and find real brides with real style. The second SMP is highlighted on my Google Reader, I run on over and soak all the lovely pictures in! Congratulations on this milestone!

It’s not like I’m already planning my wedding or anything like that, (although I do like one boy) but the images are amazing and, as many have already said, super inspiring.

I clicked upon your web site from the Martha Stewart “Bride’s Guide” site about three months ago, when I was only about a month into planning my October 2008 wedding. I was browsing online before bed and was just about to wrap it up for the evening when I found your site. When I first set my eyes on an “Inspiration Board,” I actually felt my stomach flip a little. Finally, someone was visually expressing all of these thoughts and comments and ideas that, as an avid Martha Stewart Weddings reader, had been floating around in my mind for years! About an hour passed my bedtime, I was so over stimulated that I forced myself go to bed. The next morning, I blew off the gym and read through your archives before work in the morning. And then checked in during lunch later that day. Style Me Pretty is now an integral part of my daily web routine. I appreciate your web site not only for the variety, lovely images, and real-world ideas, but also as a haven where happy thoughts and beautiful things prevail in an often chaotic world. When I started searching for inspiration for my wedding I quickly learned that the standard wedding websites don’t have much originality or creativity…two big things I wanted. I found both those things and more at Style Me Pretty.
Warning: the rest of these comments may sound cheesy, (which is the one thing I don’t want my wedding to be), but they are true.
Anyway, SMP has been my sanctuary. It is the place that I can escape to when my future mother-in-law, fiance, and even my bridesmaids don’t understand what I’m talking about.
So, thank you for being my safe place. The greatest friend that I have never even met
And congrats! You have inspired me to make my wedding exactly what is perfect for me and my fiance. You challenge brides to make their days as unique and creative as they can be. I think that is fabulous!

Love love LOVE all the gorgeous pictures and how they are diplayed in the inspiration boards. I was kind of new to the ‘inspiration board thing’, but Style Me Pretty got me really hooked on it, have created several, which unforutenatly makes it 1000 times harder to pick a theme for my wedding… but I think I will manage… as long as I get to come back to Style Me Pretty for inspiration

I look forward to reading your blog each day because you give simple and stylish ideas that I can actually use. I feel that bridal magazines are just trying to sell me on something I don’t want or need for my wedding.

Style Me Pretty is the better than any other source, including all of the many bridal magazines and other blogs or sites out there, for true inspiration to create a wedding that is uniquely “me”. I love Abby’s taste, style, and commitment to brides of all types. I have recommended this site to every friend of mine who has gotten engaged in the past year. I really think this is the only site I will continue to visit after my wedding in May. I also have looked time and time again at Abby Jean letterpressed invitations, and wish I could afford them ;-). They are the most beautiful invitations I’ve ever seen. Thank you Abby for all you do!

I keep coming back to SMP because of the inspiration I get for my own creative wedding endeavors! The taste of the blog is almost identical to my own. Each entry is so delicate and chic and fun - just the way I think a wedding should be! I’m always checking in for ideas to implement in my own big day this June.

Aaaah I thought I was too late for the contest, but then I realized that I’m in Europe, so it’s still Monday morning at your place.
Well I have discovered Style Me Pretty a few weeks ago, and I am so glad because there are so few blogs or websites dedicated to inspiration for wedding decoration in France! They are stuck with the floating-candles-with-petals-bowls-centerpieces, and it is getting boring! Besides, my wedding is in June, and I am so glad I have found this source of ideas BEFORE my wedding! every time I visit you site, I get new ideas… And many of them are not so expensive, so it’s definitely one of my favorites…

I started reading Style Me Pretty when I was planning my wedding over the summer. I enjoyed it so much that I continue to read it regularly, even though my wedding was 5 months ago. The site has great inspiration that can be translated into parties, home decorating, crafts, and more. It is well-organized, colorful, and unique. Style Me Pretty has become my break from the monotony of daily life.
