An Inspired Affair…

December 14th. 2007 by Abby Larson | 4 comments

The lovely and talented Elizabeth Messina sent me these oh-so-gorgeous images from a recent wedding that she did…

Let me tell you what I absolutely love about these photos. They are traditional, they are elegant, they are magazine-worthy. And yet, there is a level of simplicity about the style of this wedding, that seems so approachable and real. Although I am sure this wedding was quite spectacular, it’s a look that seems...

Black and White Wedding Photography

December 13th. 2007 by Abby Larson | 7 comments

There is just something about black and white photography. Although I am usually partial to the brilliance of a beautiful, full color photo… when it comes to weddings, the black and white photography will make me tear up every time. It’s timeless, it’s romantic…it’s sort of magical.

I am absolutely smitten with the work over at Artisan Events, a Little Black...

Wedding Dresses by Austin Scarlett

December 12th. 2007 by Abby Larson | 12 comments

If the gowns that I featured earlier today were stunning in their simplicity and affordability, this next set of gowns are those that we dream about as little girls. Fairytale dresses fit for a queen.

Designed by Project Runway’s Austin Scarlett for the beloved Kenneth Pool brand, these dresses are basically works of art…

The detail is quite...

I spent some time last night pouring through the Spring and Fall 2008 bridal runways on Brides.com…and I am officially blown away by that J Crew! I am just so impressed by the sweet sophistication of their wedding dresses…

And we all know, the bridesmaids dresses are just too cute for words… especially, the new plaid one!

I love that a classic, old brand is really trying to redefine themselves with their new bridal line. I know that last year,...

I was poking around Pearl Papers, the Black Pearl Paper online shop, when I stumbled upon these oh-so-cute, letterpressed calendars!

I am going to pick up a few for gifts…they are so perfectly lovely! Plus, they are packaged in that great reusable cotton, drawstring bag, so there’s no wrapping required. Love that!

A Winter Wedding Color Palette

December 11th. 2007 by Abby Larson | 5 comments

About once a week, I pull out all of my back issues of domino and blueprint magazine, get settled on the sofa…and start my quest to find inspiration. Tuesdays have become somewhat of our “color palette” day, so when I saw this stunning floral arrangement in Domino, I thought it perfect inspiration for today’s post…

I have been in love with this particular page for a long time…and now envisioning it as a...

A Real Wedding by Darling Events, II

December 7th. 2007 by Abby Larson | 10 comments

I absolutely love all of the details that Natalie infused into her wedding. Each element made the day seem personal and completely unique…

The save the dates and invitations were created and designed by Natalie…how great is that Horse-Shoe inspired Save the Date? I absolutely love it! The photo on the bottom left is Natalie’s rendition of a guest book…she had her friends and family write little notes, then be...
