I love these brocade inspired invitations…such a great look for a modern, chic wedding….
To Make the Brocade Invitations…
Use istockphoto.com to find the right brocade pattern. Using Illustrator, size the brocade print to the appropriate invitation size (whatever you’ve chosen). Place a white rectangle, with a black border right in the center of the pattern, so that you have a space to typeset your text.
Print on the highest setting that your printer allows to ensure that the brocade pattern and your text is crystal clear. I recommend using an Epson for this type of invitation.

Are you going to post the actual how-to’s and instructions for these projects?

This was such a wonderful series. I enjoyed seeing all the creativity and innovative ways to authenticate a wedding. Thank you for also adding the how-to section. I may have to use some of these ideas for parties.

I can’t tell you much I love this idea. Is there any plans to show how to do this or reference some books or websites where we can find more?

I can’t quite figure out how to vote on this site but my favourites are the tablescapes with the pink chinese lanterns above(46) -they create such ambiance and the gorgeous do it yourself flowers (49) are unbelievably pretty. I would think these would be every girly-girl’s dream! Cool website for ideas- guess I know where I’ll come when I need something “borrowed”.

Many of them will be up when the new site is launched at the end of June…the letterpress one however probably won’t be one of the projects listed because you need to find an actual letterpress machine to achieve this. It’s not really something that everyone can do.
Sorry about the delay…feel free to email me about specific projects though and I can get you some instructions!
