Wedding Mementos by ScanCafe

Have you guys heard about ScanCafe? If you haven’t, you really should spend some time checking out their brilliant new site. In a nutshell, ScanCafe will scan your hard photographs, slides and negatives, digitally archiving them on a dvd that you can enjoy for years and years to come…

I have about a zillion pictures from my wedding that were taken by friends and family along the way…many of them a bit more personal and candid than those that were taken by my photographer. And yet, they are sitting in a box waiting patiently for me to put them into an album. Hmmm, probably not going to happen. ScanCafe is so perfect for me…the lazy girl’s way to get organized. All you have to do is pack up your photos, send them to ScanCafe, then wait for the online proofs. You only have to pay for the photographs that you choose. Nice. Oprah thinks so…they were recently featured in her O Magazine Gift Guide!

Weddings For a Good Cause

I wanted to take this morning to tell you about a few things that are happening in the wedding world that I am finding really inspiring…

First, Rebecca over at White Aisle, recently launched an absolutely beautiful new silk product line…handmade flowers, sashes and ring pillows that have been sewn by Cambodian girls using the finest local silks. Rebecca’s wonderful new project allows girls and young women to leave their otherwise unimaginable jobs, earn a salary each day with the option of living next door in group housing…and ultimately, reintegrate themselves into society with a strong vocational skill.
