Country Chic Wedding
Today I wanted to feature a few of the reader inspiration boards that I have received over the last few weeks. The first one comes from Megan, who is looking to design a somewhat non-traditional affair hosted at this amazing winery, overlooking the mountains…
After the ceremony, the party will retire to a farmhouse hotel for a light country-style buffet. Megan is wearing her mother’s wedding dress, altered a bit. Instead of a wedding cake, she is going to serve cherry pie. Her favors will be little jam and honey jars, jelly beans and plantable seed paper hearts. Their budget is $7500 so we are so excited to watch this wedding unfold and keep tabs on Megan. We are hoping that she will come back after the wedding and share more of her cost cutting tips!!
The way we're planning it, we'll have 2 receptions- first a wine and cheese receptin at the winery, then the whole party will retire to the farmhouse hotel for the buffet. The locations themselves are already so pretty we won't have to do much decorating, and we're fully booking the hotel so we'll have the place all to ourselves.
I just got married at that Vineyard in September - it is a gorgeous setting. I, like you, didn't feel the need to do much by way of decor - (see the link above for the pictures) - we just picked up some lanterns from Kirkland's and didn't even use flowers, because the lodge is so phenomenal already. I couldn't believe it when I checked this blog today and saw the venue! Congrats and enjoy every minute of it!

Megan - be sure to walk three times around the Historic Square for luck! We did, and got some great pictures. I am sure it will be a GORGEOUS wedding if your inspiration board is any indication.
