A few weeks ago, I drove to NY to do an on camera interview with Get Married TV on the Lifetime network. The piece was shot in none other than the studio of Christian Oth Photography…a photographer that I have admired for some time now. Aside from the fact that Christian and his colleagues were so kind, the studio itself was in a word…gorgeous. Some of the most spectacular photographs that I have ever seen adorned the walls…
Every bride was spectacular. Every groom seemed blissfully happy. And the detail shots…MORE than magazine worthy…
We are lucky enough to have Christian as a member of our Little Black Book and even luckier that he has shared with us this incredible portfolio. If you want even more inspiration, spend some time today pouring over his website. There are about eight different photographers that work with Christian Oth, with prices beginning around $4500. Even if this is outside of your price range, definitely check out Christian’s online portfolio for hours upon hours of eye candy.
Those are great! I absolutely love the guy fixing his tie-adding that to my must have list!
Wow - outstanding photography. I'm incredibly inspired.
I just recently worked with one of Christian's photographers, Meredith Davenport. All I can say is if you have the budget, and she's available, book her!! She's not just a wedding photographer, she's true artist and an absolute pleasure to work with-as is everyone at Christian's studio. : )
I absolutely love your site. I have so many ideas going through my mind right now. I wanted to email you but could not get the email link to open. We are begining to plan our wedding and it is such a fun and exciting process. We have not really got a budget set yet but have lots of ideas. I would like to tell you a little bit about our vision. We are both still in school going into careers with art. I am going to be an art teacher and my future husband is a studio art major/graphic design minor. Art is a huge part of our lives and definitely want it to be part of our wedding. We both are drawn to the city as well. We live in the Cincinnati Ohio area. My vision is an urban loft big window looking out into the city open space blank canvas. Not so easy to find though in Cincy. We recently visited the 20th Century theater and really liked it but there are still other places we will be checking out. With these two ideas in mind we have come up with so many ideas. We have discussed displaying our own art or having small compositions for each guest to take as a favor and so many ideas. We are trying to come up with an idea for our guest book. We dont just want people to sign a book or a picture frame we want it to be more than that. We are also trying to come up with an art alternative for the unity candle. I absolutely love the idea of having a watercolor artist capturing moments throughout the wedding. I am actually overwhelmed with ideas and I want everything to be perfect but being on a budget I know I am trying to go so many different ways. I guess if I could sum up what I would like to see develop it would be - fine arts meets mod asia/zen. something intimate something fun yet simple with the elegant touch. We love the asian culture and want to incorporate that subtly with things like paper lanterns and cherry blossoms. I know I want to use orchids. As far as colors I love like the teal or robin egg blue with expresso or copper color. just the rich contrast is wonderful. maybe incorporating splashes of other colors throughout. I would love to see any ideas that you have if you have a chance to compile any. I will definitely be coming back to your site over the next months as we plan. Its a great resource!!
I LOOOOVE the candles on the steps of the church. Beautiful!
