There have been so many times on this blog that I have praised the use of color in your wedding color palette. Color can completely transform a space…it can bring a warmth in, a sophistication, even a flirty and fun feel. I love color. And yet, I am and will always be a die hard white fan. My furniture is almost all white, my clothes usually center around some form of white, I tear out magazine pages that feature all white weddings because I think that they are frame-worthy.
So, when I saw Victoria Pearson’s all white color palette, of course…I fell in love.
The layers of white are just so inviting to me. Sweet sophistication. I am working on a wedding board that is inspired by Victoria’s color palette that I will put up a little later today. But, in the meantime, I am curious what you guys think? Is white boring? Or is it completely elegant?
Also…make sure you check out our two very important announcements right below this post!
white is ... completely elegant!
I absolutely love an all white or almost all white palatte! I think the warmth and romance it exudes is just delightful!
White can be utterly beautiful and I always think so but when it comes to my design choices I scurry amongst the fabric aisles and just can't resist colour. The navy/cream colour theme of my winter wedding is the most restrained I have ever been in my life. Pity for my fiance wearing bright pink on the most important day of his life reined in my fuschia/lime thoughts and found more restraint, but no colour at all?
All white?
What would the bridesmaids wear?
I see the bridesmaids wearing a more neutral color...a champagne, nude or even chocolate. Something to ground the palette a little bit but not take aways from the all white effect...
I adore all white - in fact I'm using whites as the color palette for my vow renewal next year (white, ivory, champagne). My favorite picture above is the gorgeous bouquet of just-slightly-blush peonies.
Great inspiration board!

I think white schemes have a tendency to be boring, only if they haven't been infused with various textures, and shades. If everything is very flat, it looks quite dull; however, that can probably be said about any colour!
When executed well, it can be incredibly elegant and beautiful.
To me an all white palette evokes elegance and timelessness. Love it!
I love meringue... theres just something about it. Even though a white palette is well.. white. I still think its a nice color choice. I love this board. So pretty! So pure!
I think an all-white white wedding can be done really beautifully if you give it some real thought. I think some traditionalists end up falling back on all white because it seems easy, but it's actually really hard! I saw a spread recently on three or four different kinds of all-white weddings, and they were all beautiful. It can be a great challenge and really bring some beautiful results.
I agree! I think that an all white palette is one of the more difficult looks to achieve. It's hard to ensure that the white doesn't look blank. Or too cold.
I agree that an all white wedding can be so elegant if done right. As you mentioned, texture and hues are so important to pull it off. I love all of the pictures you showed. Victoria is my favorite photographer : )
a all white wedding is an awesome, elegant, and stylish, and you can really splurge with the details and textures :)
