Doug McGoldrick, a wonderful photographer out of Chicago, has been great enough to put together a style board for us that I really wanted to share with you…

I absolutely love the detail shots that he’s captured here. Those origami place cards are,in a word…amazing. He manages to capture each event with this perfect combination of beauty and emotion…with a bit of humor thrown in for good measure. Definitely check out his site when you have some time today. In planning for my upcoming wedding in the swiss countryside, I have found endless inspiration on your site. Too bad the caterers here are not like California caterers though. i am also endlessly jealous.
Make I make one, i dare say important, suggestion concerning your website? When I finish with the first page and want to move on to previous posts, there is no arrow at the bottom. I must scroll back up, then click on the whole month archive, which takes longer to load then, then another page would. Would you consider adding, previous and Next buttons at the bottom of the page, to ease the process of trying to find the other posts?
If you know any caterers in Switzerland, do share!

It's true. There aren't always the greatest "designers" in the smaller cities. With that said, the really brilliant ones can provide the inspiration. If I had to do it all over again, I would ask my caterer to replicate various presentation styles of those caterers that I love, using magazine tearouts and prints from various catering sites. And, I would make sure they did so for our tasting so that I could see exactly what we were going to be getting.
