Inspiration Board Contest II, Day 5
Day five of our Board Contest is here! The last day…NOT! (ha, how long has it been since someone said…NOT! I’m bringing it back for the day). We have had so many entries that I am extending the competition thru Monday. With that said, I am unfortunately no longer accepting any more boards for this round. We will definitely have another competition soon, so ALWAYS feel free to send me your designs. I am also going to be re-working the site a bit in the coming months so that the inspiration boards can take front and center and so that your beautiful designs can be showcased even further.
So, without further ado, here are today’s boards!
Danielle is doing a new take on a Jewish Inspired White, Gold & Blue Affair…
EZ’s wedding is Pure, Sweet Sophistication…
Krista is having a Cozy, Autumn Wedding…

I am sorry, but all these pretty-pretty pictures make me sick. Can you not have at least 1 photo of someone ugly and hairy and disgusting to give my eyes a little respite?
Comment by Danielle on 25 August 2007:
I, too, am a little taken aback seeing my board amongst such great inspiration- just wanted to express my admiration for each:
EZ- loving the feeling of serene purity that comes with your board- each piece flows so well and really adds to the overall ambiance- great job being selective
Krista- Being a Florida Girl, I have to appreciate a fresh and chic take on this color scheme. I can’t tell you how many brides come to me and request a Fall wedding with this scheme- I can’t wait to share your thoughts with my hopeful brides
Nicole- Loving the bouquet! Your direction is very focused-
Kathy- I love the idea of this color scheme for Fall (I usually see it in brighter hues for summer)… also, the vintage details really give it an heirloom feel
Martina- Great direction on your beach wedding- loving that the sea-side chic is present without overkill of shells and such
Catie- Lace- what’s not to love! Your affair seems so effortless and pulled together at the same time-
Emily- Your color scheme is my favorite- I am loving plum right now- and the cohesiveness of your design creates a clear picture without overdoing it (and my what a splendid picture that is!)
Blythe- well I am a bit partial as I was present when you created this… still loving the Parker Palm Springs pic! Good luck with the wedding
Julina- I LOVE the idea of Mexican Flags at a wedding- hope you are brave enough to incorporate them (they are stunning in pictures)
Arika- I am currently ring shopping and I am dying to know where those rings are from they are amazing and completely my anti-diamond fantasy!
Helen- Great use of navy in a airy way. Usually it comes off really heavy for me, but you have done a beautiful job contrasting it.
Natalie- loving the dress on the bottom (the colors make such a vintage-glam statement!)
Ashley- LOVING the flowers.. esp the top bouquet- it is so colorful and yummy
Rachel- This is my favorite type of wedding to help design- I actually had a bride last Autumn that carried a bouquet of cotton and it is so stunning and unexpected!
Great job to all- all these compliments have exhausted me- so have a rotten night!

These boards have been so, so beautiful and inspirational! I’ve had a good time checking what’s new every morning.

How exciting!! My board is up and online. Really enjoyed putting this together. I found it such a useful excercise to confirm what does and doesn’t work with my stark contrasting scheme of sapphire navy and cream. The minute I put a pastel blue cake image or too-green floral arrangement, it just killed the contrast. Thanks for the inspiration, everyone and best of luck to the boardees!xx

These are all fabulous, I vote for Day 2 # 12 Kyle’s Lake side union.
Comment by Meesh on 30 August 2007:
EZ, can you please tell me where you found that great gown!? I just love the pockets, empire was an dreamy fabric.
Thanks!
Michelle
Comment by Meesh on 30 August 2007:
Proof-reading helps…I meant empire “waist”…
Thanks again!

I made tiny changes to EZ and Blythe wonderful boards to make them suitable for a birthday party. Congratulations to all the contestants. You inspire us!
Since I do not know how to get in touch with EZ and Blythe, maybe someone can tell them to have a look.
Comment by Shannon on 5 September 2007:
EZ’s I to want to know where that beautiful gown (empire, grey, floor lenght with pockets) is from. I am dying to have it, and I can’t find it anywhere!
Comment by sooz on 7 September 2007:
