Wedding Hair Style: The Up-Do

June 4th. 2007 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 6 comments

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was actually at a wedding in a small town right outside of Baltimore and I must say, it was one of the most lovely weddings I have ever been to. Every detail was executed beautifully, from the centerpieces to the fashions…all was picture perfect. Tomorrow, I will put together a full spread for you to see.

A couple of readers have asked me for pictures of my hair at my own wedding…I was lucky enough to have my cousin do my hair, so she was able to follow me around all night with extra bobby pins and hair spray. Otherwise, this is a little bit of a tricky “do” as your hair can’t be too short, too fine or too heavy.

My cousin set my hair so that we could easily just take out the pins and have a more casual look for the reception. She didn’t use any rubber bands so there weren’t any funny creases or bends in my hair. The only thing that you can’t really see in the photos is the gardenia that she tucked into the base of the bun…it was a really subtle, romantic touch.
