A couple of my readers have asked for ideas on unique bridesmaid’s gifts. It’s so hard because you want to buy them something great and meaningful, but most people can’t spend an arm and a leg on gifts.
With that said, I found these great bags by 1154 Lill Studio when I was looking at old Daily Candy articles the other day…
Here is how it works…
First, you pick your style from a variety of different, super cute cuts. They have everything from clutches and make-up bags to shoulder bags and even diaper bags. The price is determined by the style of the bag, rather than the fabric used.
Then, you pick your fabric. They have some great prints and textured fabrics, as well as more formal, elegant looks.
Once you do that, all you have to do is wait 3-4 weeks and voila! A perfect little bag to give your nearest and dearest. I love that you can style each one to suit the bridesmaid. AND you can really have fun with mix and match fabrics while staying in one color palette. With the prices ranging from $25 to $150, you really can’t go wrong.
How about a custom fragrance for $30? My company does just that and we are a huge hit with brides! We have created signature scents for their special day and unique and personalized gifts for their bridal party...
These bags are great! I got one as a Christmas present from FI, and I loved picking out all the fabrics and details. I was thinking about doing this for my girls, and bringing them in store to pick out their own... if you host a handbag party you get a discount if you buy at least 5 bags!
I bought my bridesmaid a couple of inexpensive black and white prints of horses because she loves them. Try going to your local Hobby Lobby or other crafts store and buying something they will REALLY use.
If you are close to a store, I would definitely recommend making a trip there rather than buying online. The fabrics are really beautiful and its fun to mix and match things. There is an 1154 Lill Studio in Chicago (1154 Lill was their original address in Chicago), also in Kansas City and Boston. I went to a bridesmaid's party at the Kansas City store and we made purses to match the dress. We brought in champagne and snacks and had a blast.
What a perfect gift! I am in a wedding in June, hope we get something like this!
