Color Palettes
Okay, I admit, this post is a little cheap of me, but I have just had one of those days. I wanted to do a little spread on the pink and gold theme that Martha has in her latest issue. I love it. I love it. I love it. Pink and gold, my two favorite colors.
I can’t even tell you my excitement when I saw this spread. It actually surpassed my reaction to an Elegant Bride feature on silhouettes that I had a while back…

pink and gold look amazing together. i love how martha stewart does her color spreads. i just loveeee there are so many beautiful examples all in one place of the same color scheme. oh~ that's something i should've mentioned for your contest. i'd love to see more of exactly this. examples of great ideas/photos/things that are in the same color scheme. =)
Hello! GREAT site! Very good ideas! If anyone has any suggestions, I noticed someone asked about a South Seas wedding on Captiva Island! Ironically that is where mine will be as well! I really like the ideas of hot pinks and mango oranges. I am leaning towards the mango dresses for brides maids, and gold accessories. Perhaps even chocolate dresses. I like the idea of warm uplighting at the reception which will be mostly indoor with big doors leading outside to a patio surrounded by ocean and palms. I like the idea of that warm golden/orange glow from the candles. I thought about doing pink dresses but my sister just had an island wedding and did coral so if I did pink would have to be fuschia and I just think I like orange or brown better. BUT I'm open to suggestions!!!!
p.s. flowers I want to be hot pinks and mango oranges either way... and possibly other hues.
